DENVER (January 5, 2017) – Sportsman Channel viewers start the new year with all new shows that provide tips for hunting and shooting during the week of January 9–15. Steven Rinella seeks out the buck of his dreams in central Idaho on MeatEater; Nate Hosie appears on The Jackie Bushman Show Classics and gives advice for hunting in Wyoming and Montana; Craig Boddington tests several Kimber’s lightweight hunting rifles on Guns & Ammo TV and the hosts of GunVenture demonstrate self-defense tactics.

MeatEater starts Monday Night Hunts with Steven Rinella’s quest for a giant mule deer buck in central Idaho. To help Steve in his journey, Ryan Callaghan has offered up one of his best spots, as well as his keen spotting skills, as the duo backpack hunt in some of the West’s steepest and prettiest mountains. Then, on The Jackie Bushman Show Classics, Nate Hosie of Headhunters joins Jackie and talks about hunting in Wyoming and Montana.

Next up is Guns & Ammo TV on Lock and Load Thursday. Craig Boddington has always been a fan of Kimber’s lightweight hunting rifles, and he takes a closer look at their offerings, including the new Hunter bolt action. He also checks out the Range Officer and XDm, a pair of Springfield .45s. Finally, on GunVenture, Tom Gresham and the guys demonstrate how to fight off an attacker in close quarters with quick defensive strategies.
