aaspThe wilderness offers abundant beauty, ruggedness and, in many cases, hidden dangers. Field host, Tara Conner travels to Maine to get first-hand training on wilderness rescue. The Wilderness Rescue Team is a group of volunteer first responders who bravely face arduous challenges to aid those in peril. Conner is placed in a mock rescue scenario that illustrates the real-life consequences that adventure-seekers could potentially face.

“I am amazed and impressed by the number of people who enter the Survival Trial,” said Jerry Carroll, field co-host of Amazing America with Sarah Palin. “I picked up one of the backpacks carried by the participants and nearly fell over it was so heavy. Viewers will be inspired by these exceptional Americans.”

Amazing America with Sarah Palin airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sportsman Channel.
