DENVER (May 30, 2024) – Streaming live on MLFNOW! on MyOutdoorTV from Cherokee Lake in Jefferson City, TN., 98 of the nation’s best weekend grassroots anglers are competing in the 2024 Major League Fishing (MLF) Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American presented by T-H Marine. The three-day tournament, hosted by Visit Jefferson County TN, will showcase a field of 49 boaters and 49 Strike King co-anglers, and awards the winning boater a top prize of up to $120,000 along with an automatic qualification into REDCREST 2025, MLF’s most prestigious event.

In addition to the automatic REDCREST 2025 qualification and the chance to win $300,000, the highest-finishing boaters and co-anglers from each of the seven regionals at the All-American advance to the 2024 Toyota Series Championship, where they will have a shot at winning up to $235,000, including the lucrative $35,000 Phoenix MLF Bonus, and $33,500, respectively.

The full field of 49 boaters and 49 Strike King co-anglers will compete on May 29 and May 30. After two days of competition, the field is cut to just the Top 10 boaters and co-anglers, based on two-day total cumulative weight, and the final 10 anglers compete on Championship Friday, May 31. The boater and co-angler that catch the heaviest three-day total weight will be crowned the 41st Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American Champions.

World Record Gram Slam Turkey Hunt by Michael Waddell & Friends Available to Stream NOW on MyOutdoorTV

Waddell, Troy Link and Friends Completed the Slam in Under 11 Hours, Vastly Beating the Previous Slam Record of 45 Hours.

DENVER (May 20, 2024) –  In an astonishing 10 hours and 43 minutes, Michael Waddell – host of Bone Collector and MyOutdoorTV’s “Can’t Stop the Flop” series, along with Troy Link – owner of Jack Link’s, and friends completed the Gram Slam of turkey hunting – and the first part of the slam is available to stream for free now on MyOutdoorTV. This remarkable achievement shattered the previous record of 45 hours set by John Cassimus.

The team embarked on a cross-country hunt spanning four states, successfully harvesting the four subspecies of wild turkey required for a Grand Slam. The turkeys were taken in Georgia (Eastern), Florida (Osceola), Oklahoma (Rio Grande), and Colorado (Merriam), showcasing not only the team's competitive spirit but also their dedication and passion for the sport.

Troy Link was the team’s designated shooter, with Michael Waddell and Bubba Lindley as the callers to yelp and cluck the birds into range. Florida and Georgia property owner, Ike Rainey, provided access to his property, which is intensely managed for wild turkeys. Reflecting on the achievement, Michael Waddell stated, “This whole adventure just started out with us friends sitting around a campfire talking about how cool it would be to try to kill a slam. Then we thought it’d be cool to try it in a day. We all laughed about it. The next thing we know Troy Link is texting us telling us we should try it; he had the resources and I had plenty of calls in my pocket. We lined it up with landowners to hunt their dirt in Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, and Colorado, set a date, and away we went. Heck, we were all thinking we’d have to be extremely lucky to do it in 24 hours; never thinking 10 hours and 43 minutes was possible, but we just caught them at the magical time us hunters dream of. The Lord gave us great weather and gobblin’ longbeards in every state we went to, that’s almost unheard of to us turkey hunters. I don’t know if I’ll try it again; this time just went too smooth, I may be let down next time. Troy put this together and I was happy to go and yelp…it was just a great time. One thing I know, if you mention something around Troy, you better be careful because you just may find yourself doing it. I’m thankful to share this adventure with our fellow hunters, like it or hate it, it was our personal goal, it’s not for everyone, but I’m happy to hunt anytime and anywhere.
