‘Wild Boar Fever: The Art of Boar’ Epic Driven Hunting Series Airing Now on Sportsman Channel and MyOutdoorTV

OSG Logo New

DENVER (October 8, 2021) – In 2019, Outdoor Channel introduced North American audiences to one of the world’s most popular and exciting hunting methods – driven hunting – with Wild Boar Fever presented by Aimpoint. Now, a new take on that series, Wild Boar Fever: The Art of Boar presented by Aimpoint, is airing Tuesdays and Sundays at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sportsman Channel and available on MyOutdoorTV.

Narrated and curated by the star of Wild Boar Fever, legendary German hunter Franz-Albrecht Oettingen-Spielberg, The Art of Boar showcases the very best scenes from 11 Wild Boar Fever seasons filmed over the past three decades.

Wild Boar Fever: The Art of Boar is the ultimate celebration of everything that has made Wild Boar Fever so popular with global audiences over three decades. Watch monster keilers being taken at full pace in France, Hungary, Croatia and Romania. See the precision marksmanship that defies the laws of physics, and of course, watch many of the most famous scenes of Franz-Albrecht doing what he does best. Franz-Albrecht also reveals to audiences for the first time what it was like starring in the most famous Wild Boar Fever scenes, which molded a generation of hunters and defined a category. Wild Boar Fever is an epic compilation of arguably the best driven hunting scenes ever filmed, all together in one season for the first time.

Wild boar hunting in Europe involves more than a bolt-action rifle and steady nerves. A driven hunt pushes boar towards hunters from their daytime cover using specially-trained dogs and a team of fearless beaters. The hunters selectively shoot the boar with single shots from bolt action rifles as they run through the gun line. This style of hunting is the most popular method in Europe because – not only is it a highly-effective means of managing a growing and menacing population – it is a fast-paced, challenging and thrilling method of shooting game on the run.

Past Seasons of MeatEater Now Available on Streaming App MyOutdoorTV (MOTV)

DENVER (October 1, 2021) – MeatEater with Steven Rinella has been a perennial favorite with Outdoor Sportsman Group viewers since its debut nine years ago. As Rinella eloquently puts it, the show is not just about the pursuit of an animal, but who Rinella is as a person and what he’s made of to pursue that animal. MeatEater Season 9 is airing now on Outdoor Channel on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.

Growing up in the Midwest’s great outdoors – hunting, fishing and trapping from a young age – Rinella has always viewed the world through the eyes of an ancestral hunter/gatherer. Inspired by early man’s skill, ingenuity and sheer determination to survive and thrive under challenging circumstances, Rinella has made his life’s work to cultivate those same qualities – and encourage others to do the same – while always being mindful of conservation principles and practices.

In MeatEater, Rinella explores various hunting techniques, tracks and pursues prey, and procures and cooks his own food. Whether tracking blacktail deer, or rooting out javelina, Rinella leverages his back-country skills while challenging himself at every corner and providing nail-biting adventure along the way.

Steven Rinella is an avid outdoorsman, writer, and television personality best known for his ability to translate the hunting lifestyle to a wide variety of audiences. His weekly MeatEater podcast (distributed on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify and Stitcher) is the most popular podcast in the outdoor category on Apple. He is the author of six books including: “MeatEater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter;” the two-volume series: “The Complete Guide to Hunting;” “Butchering and Cooking Wild Game;” “American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon;” “The Scavenger’s Guide to Haute Cuisine” and “MeatEater Fish and Game Cookbook: Recipes and Techniques for Every Hunter and Angler.” He is a frequent guest of television and radio, has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered and Weekend Edition, The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, Fox and Friends and CNN’s American Morning.

Give Back this Hunting Season with New Series, ‘DoeNation Outdoors’, Premiering Saturday, October 2nd on Sportsman Channel

OSG Logo New

DENVER (September 30, 2021) – What started as two friends and hunters giving their harvest deer to local processors to donate to shelters, has turned into a new television series, DoeNation Outdoors, airing Saturdays at 1 p.m. ET on Sportsman Channel. With the premiere episode Saturday, October 2, the founders, Brett Williams and Steven Caudle, are hoping it encourages fellow hunters to give their harvested game to their local food banks and spread the act of kindness across the U.S.

DoeNation has also created a list of participating processors who will, most times, process the deer for free and connect the processed meat to a shelter or food bank. That list can be found at http://doenation.tv

Founder, Brett Williams, has been bowhunting whitetail deer since he was 14 years old. Growing up, his father loved to quail hunt and passed that passion for the outdoors on to him. As a result, Williams has gained a tremendous respect for what it takes to be a good steward of precious resources.

Williams is joined by lifelong friend, Steven Caudle, who grew up hunting alongside his dad chasing everything from rabbits to whitetails. He has a passion for bowhunting and a heart for those in need.

“Our goal for televising on Sportsman Channel is to continue to grow the ministry of hopefully donating meat in each state across the U.S.,” Brett Williams said. “We have a passion for helping those in need and want to give back what we have been blessed to receive. The plan to accomplish this is to establish chapters with like-minded individuals or organizations in each state to act on behalf of the ministry. The process has begun to establish a non-profit organization in addition to the already established LLC in the state of Alabama.”

DoeNation airs on Sportsman Channel on Saturdays at 1 p.m. ET. Find Sportsman Channel in your area by visiting https://www.thesportsmanchannel.com/

Hardcore adventurer and award-winning restaurateur Mario Kalpou Offers New Series

DENVER (September 20, 2021) – Tune in for Outdoor Channel’s newest – and tastiest – food adventure. Follow award-winning restauranteur, Mario Kalpou, in his series Man Eats Wild, premiering on Monday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

In this Outdoor Channel original series, viewers will follow Kalpou, a hardcore adventurer and award-winning restaurateur, on his journey across the globe in his attempts to harvest wild food in the most extreme environments. Whether diving for lobsters and having a close encounter with a Great White Shark, to stalking Himalayan Tahr above the clouds in New Zealand, Kalpou is on a mission to educate viewers about their food sources – whether it’s from deep in the ocean or high above sea level.

“This show is about reconnecting people with their food,” Kalpou shared. “We don’t really know what we are eating in these large supermarket chains. I like to show people exactly what you are eating by harvesting it yourself. I go out into the world and harvest gourmet food and make incredible dishes. My goal is to demonstrate what you can do with a truly good cut of meat.”

In the first episode, Kalpou climbs the highest mountain range in New Zealand (the Aoraki/Mount Cook) to go after Himalayan Tahr – with his bow. “We were above the clouds trying to find these Tahr, which can be very elusive, and it made it one of the most memorable hunts,” explained Kalpou. “One of the things we are trying to get across on this show is not as much about the harvesting the animals, but the adventures we go on to find those animals. When would I have ever found myself above the clouds on a New Zealand Mountain range if I wasn’t going after these Tahr?”

The first season follows Kalpou in the outback of Australia, to the mountains and seas of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Kalpou shares his eventual goal is to cover the entire world showcasing the best of organic, natural food.

Tune in to Man Eats Wild on Outdoor Channel on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. ET. Learn more about Kalpou and his take on the series by listening to him on “The Revolution with Jim and Trav.

‘The Obsession with Carter Andrews’ Now Airing on World Fishing Network

OSG Logo New

DENVER (September 17, 2021) – Embark on new angling adventures with expert angler Carter Andrews on The Obsession with Carter Andrews airing Sundays at 7 p.m. ET on World Fishing Network.

Carter Andrews is not into fishing for recreation, money, fame or records. He is into fishing because he has no choice. He is a victim of an all-consuming obsession – one that has him on the water with friends and family 300 days a year, from Costa Rica to the Snake River; Florida to Bolivia. His obsession and relentless pursuit of the greatest game fish in salt and freshwater gives his fans an informative and action-packed adventure every episode.

Carter has a fly-fishing resume that reads like a Hall of Famer’s: three wins of the Jackson Hole One Fly, countless video and print references, a keystone spot on the U.S. Fly Fishing Team… but it was a trip to the Bahamas that introduced ‘Big Boy’ to the great big world of destination saltwater angling. For the next decade he would help build fishing lodges, train guides, and lead exploratory fishing expeditions, not only in the Bahamas but across the globe. Carter became the cover shot of nearly every saltwater and fishing magazine in print, and grew to be a favored guest on fishing shows and videos.

By splitting the year between Panama and his ranch in Jackson, Wyoming, Carter manages nearly 300 days of fishing annually. He continually innovates and progresses techniques and approaches that the others do not. This has earned him the reputation of being the most ‘complete’ angler on the water today.

About World Fishing Network: World Fishing Network is North America’s only television network, online and mobile platform dedicated exclusively to fishing and outdoor enthusiasts with programming that covers instruction, tips, tournaments, travel, food, boating, outdoor lifestyle and more.
