DENVER (May 20, 2019) The Brigade: Race to the Hudson presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s set the tone for April’s Outdoor Channel rating success, increasing +108% in average audience impressions from one year ago during the same time period (8 p.m.) with Men 25-54. Sportsman Channel, led by Meateater during weekday fringe, also garnered high marks in key demos throughout the month of April, with the channel increasing +46% with Men 25-54 during total day.

The results place Sportsman Channel as the No. 1 fastest growing cable channel with Men 25-54 in year-over-year Average Audience delivery growth and Outdoor Channel ranking close behind at No.3 among all basic cable networks during April 2019.

DENVER (February 12, 2019) – Join host Michael Hunsucker and cameraman Shawn Luchtel as they patrol the Midwest in Heartland Bowhunter, Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. on Outdoor Channel. Follow the guys on their Midwestern journey as they stalk whitetail deer and spy Canadian geese.

Hunsucker began hunting with a rifle from a young age, but soon realized that a 10-day Missouri rifle season was not enough time for him to fulfill his love of chasing big, mature whitetail bucks. This led him to pick up a bow and get to work perfecting his skills. He took his first Pope and Young whitetail at the age of 16 and has since taken numerous trophy whitetails – many of which can be seen on film – all with his bow.

Luchtel has a similar story to Hunsucker. He also grew up in Missouri, spending an abundance of time in the woods, looking for huge whitetail bucks with his father. He is not solely interested in giant whitetail, as Luchtel has turned his attention to a trip west to chase big, bugling bull elk, sometime in the near future. While he often spends time behind the camera, his knowledge shines through the way he presents the hunts on film. He has been with the Heartland Bowhunter crew since their first DVD release.
