DENVER (May 12, 2016) World Fishing Network offers viewers some serious rod-bending action throughout the week of May 16–22. First, Timmy Horton Outdoors reveals more tips and knowledge from his personal experience with bass fishing. Next, viewers have seen the Major League Fishing competition from the boats, but Major League Fishing All-Angles reveals never-before seen footage of the contest from parking lots, boat ramps and just about anywhere the anglers step foot during the tournament. Then, Bass 2 Billfish is off on another Florida angling adventure.

Highlights for May 16–22:

Timmy Horton Outdoors (Mondays at 8 p.m. ET): In this informative episode, Timmy Horton brings viewers to his very own pond in Spruce Pine, Alabama to educate the audience on the three major areas that black bass tend to habitat.

Major League Fishing All-Angles presented by General Tire (Saturdays at 4 p.m. ET): This episode takes viewers behind the scenes into the second day of competition in Lake County, Florida. Hometown star, Bobby Lane is heavily featured while Boyd Duckett tries to qualify by catching large, heavy fish. As the day comes to an end, one competitor fights to avoid being the first angler to lose his chance at the Major League Fishing Cup.

Bass 2 Billfish (Sundays at 11 a.m. ET): Show host, Peter Miller is joined by Captain Ozzie Fischer on a fishing trip from South Seas Island Resort in Captiva, Florida. The duo catch a variety of fish species including tripletail, gag grouper, goliath grouper and more. After a hard day’s work, they enjoy a local seafood meal.

A Surprise Bear Invasion on “The Professionals”; A Long-Awaited Iowa Whitetail Hunt in “Nock On TV” and a Massive Hog Take-Down in “Pigman: The Series”

New Episodes Airing May 16–22 

DENVER (May 12, 2016) – Sportsman Channel highlights three popular #IamSportsman* television series that will air new episodes during the week of May 16–22.

First up, Jim Shockey’s The Professionals begin preparing their Rogue River Outfitting Territory in the Yukon, a world-class hunting destination, to get ready for clients quickly approaching. The Professionals run into a problem right away – a bear trespassed into one of the cabins and caused some major damage.

Next, the editor of Petersen’s Bowhunting Magazine, Christian Berg, finally gets an Iowa deer tag after five years of waiting. He decides to invite professional archer and showhost of Nock On TV, John Dudley, to show him the ropes during the hunt that takes place in the whitetail rut, a time period lasting 1-3 months when whitetail deer are very active.

Finally, on Sunday evening on Pigman: The Series, Dap, Pigman’s father, moves through Mexico procuring tons of javelina while Pigman takes down a massive hog.

40th Anniversary Celebration, a Survival Course, an African Super Safari & More

All New Content Airing May 16–22

DENVER (May 12, 2016) – From finding one of nature’s hidden gems to feasting on insects to a family expedition in Africa, Outdoor Channel is chock-full of exhilarating outdoor programming throughout the week of May 16–22.

Monday night programming continues to put four on the floor with back-to-back-to-back-to-back episodes of Duck Dynasty. First, the Robertsons throw a redneck shindig to celebrate Duck Commander’s 40th anniversary. Next, Willie Robertson decides to partake of the grape by purchasing a vineyard – without seeing it first. Then, while duck hunting, the guys stumble across a beehive dripping with wild honey, which they consider to be nature’s most prized succulent treasure. Finally, when Willie finds out his daughter, Sadie has a new boyfriend, he decides to get to know the kid, while instilling some fatherly fear.

On Wednesday, the competitors in Top Shot throw knives at a target while balancing themselves over a mud pit and then move to slingshots in the elimination round. Next, in Shootout Lane, Jerry, Lena, and Kay Miculek embark on a survival course complete with fried grubs, also known as edible insects, while Brock Afentul spends the day at home in paradise.

Then, viewers will enjoy Friday Night at the Movies with the 1959 film, Warlock, where the town is plagued by a gang of thugs, causing the townspeople to hire Clay Blaisdell, a notorious gunman to act as marshal. Next, in the second of three elimination rounds in the Shell Rotella Challenge Cup on Major League Fishing, 10 anglers continue competing in Lake County, Florida, with only four anglers moving forward. Closing out the week is Archer’s Choice with Ralph & Vicki with the couple heading to Africa for the first time in 20 years, but this time they bring their son, RJ.

 Timmy Horton Outdoors (Mondays at 8 p.m. ET): Timmy Horton brings viewers on his visit to Pickwick Lake in Cherokee, Alabama to fish for black bass. He maneuvers himself into a strategic area to avoid dangerously high winds and successfully utilizes the Azuma Square Dance crankbait.

Bass 2 Billfish (Sundays at 11 a.m. ET): In the second episode of this two-part special, Peter Miller continues his visit at the South Seas Island Resort in Captiva, Florida with Sande Kirby and Andy Holland. After catching oodles of fish, the crew attends the Island Hopper Songwriter Festival and happen to meet Kristian Bush from the American country music band, Sugarland.

A Cameraman Takes a Tumble in “The Professionals” while “The Habit” Reminisces in Season 2 Finale

DENVER (May 5, 2016) – Sportsman Channel offers viewers a plethora of sportsman action during the week of May 9–15, from hunting elk in the water, to Florida fishing, to mountain-top deer hunts.

First up, G.O. Heath in North American Whitetail alleviates some off-season steam on wild hogs in Texas while Pat Hogan and James Kroll wrap up this year’s Build Your Own Deer Factory project and Mike Clerkin provides tips for more accurate crossbow shooting. Next, Jim Shockey’s The Professionals take on the Peruvian Andes – at an altitude of 14,000 feet, this mountain range is the most difficult and dangerous place to hunt for whitetail deer on the planet. Danger comes to fruition for The Professionals when a cameraman falls more than 50 feet off the edge of a cliff. Then, Friday night airs Easton Bowhunting TV where Michele Eichler hunts elk in the water, with the prerogative of proving that women can shoot elk just as easily as men can shoot elk.

Saturday evening offers viewers a Bear Archery Marathon, airing episodes from three hit series – Trained Assassins, Pigman: The Series and Fred Bear: Father of Bowhunting. Don’t miss this overload of bowhunting programming and expertise. Next, Captain George Gozdz explores Florida’s culturally rich and diverse fishing destination, Amelia Island, in Reel Time with Florida Sportsman. Finally, Sunday evening airs the season finale of The Habit where Chuck, Jon, and JP reminisce on their favorite bowfishing trips throughout the past several years.

Adam LaRoche Takes His Son Hunting; “Top Shot” Trick Shots; a Timeless Western and Season 1 Finale of “Alaska’s Wild Gourmet”

DENVER (May 5, 2016) – Outdoor Channel is jam-packed with exciting programming from stirring, outdoor lifestyle series and a movie, during the week of May 9–15.

The network’s popular Monday night programming begins with The Best of Buck Commander airing a 2013 episode where Adam LaRoche takes his 10-year-old son, Drake, on his first bow-hunt while Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean hunt early season whitetail in Texas. The evening continues with Duck Dynasty airing four back-to-back episodes. First, brotherly competition gets the best of Willie when he skips his child’s career day to play golf with Jase. Next, the guys conjure up a plan to build a luxurious duck blind in the sky. Then, Jase builds a new office without Willie’s approval. Finally, it’s the beards vs. the beavers when the guys discover their waterline is low due to the rodents. On Wednesday, the team members in Top Shot attempt ‘trick shots’ with three different guns – shooting behind the back with a mirror, shooting a nail into a board and shooting a thrown object. In the elimination round, the competitors shoot clay pigeons they throw into the air themselves.

Then, viewers will enjoy Friday Night at the Movies airing the 1968 film, Once Upon a Time in the West, an epic story of a mysterious harmonica player who joins forces with a notorious outlaw to protect a widow from a ruthless murderer who also works for the railroad. Next, in the first of three elimination rounds on Major League Fishing, 10 anglers compete to advance in the Shell Rotella Challenge Cup from Lake County, Florida. As the week comes to an end, so does the first season of Alaska’s Wild Gourmet – a show that has grown (+111%) in its Saturday 10 p.m. time slot since its début. In the Season 1 finale, the Ewings are challenged by their remote location to forage materials for an off-the-grid, gourmet meal for a bush pilot’s birthday bash.
