Outdoor Sportsman Group Viewership Climbs as Audiences Gear Up for Fall Hunting Season

Nielsen Media Research Shows Increased Engagement on Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel in Q3-Q4 2023

DENVER (June 5, 2024) – Outdoor Sportsman Group (OSG), the premier media and entertainment company for outdoor adventure enthusiasts, announces a significant surge in viewership for its flagship channels, Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel during the most recent fall hunting season.

According to data from Nielsen Media Research, OSG has seen a remarkable seven percent increase in the total minutes viewed and an 11 percent rise in viewing frequency total day among P2+ during Q3-Q4 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.* These findings underscore the growing passion and engagement among viewers gearing up for the fall hunting season.

Both Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel have an action-packed programming lineup for the second half of the year including Outdoor Channel’s Fall Premiere Week (September 23-29, 2024) debuting many new series, such as Hardcore Carnivore, plus numerous new seasons of returning favorites, such as MCMILLAN, Life on the Edge and Ranch America.

DENVER (May 30, 2024) – Streaming live on MLFNOW! on MyOutdoorTV from Cherokee Lake in Jefferson City, TN., 98 of the nation’s best weekend grassroots anglers are competing in the 2024 Major League Fishing (MLF) Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American presented by T-H Marine. The three-day tournament, hosted by Visit Jefferson County TN, will showcase a field of 49 boaters and 49 Strike King co-anglers, and awards the winning boater a top prize of up to $120,000 along with an automatic qualification into REDCREST 2025, MLF’s most prestigious event.

In addition to the automatic REDCREST 2025 qualification and the chance to win $300,000, the highest-finishing boaters and co-anglers from each of the seven regionals at the All-American advance to the 2024 Toyota Series Championship, where they will have a shot at winning up to $235,000, including the lucrative $35,000 Phoenix MLF Bonus, and $33,500, respectively.

The full field of 49 boaters and 49 Strike King co-anglers will compete on May 29 and May 30. After two days of competition, the field is cut to just the Top 10 boaters and co-anglers, based on two-day total cumulative weight, and the final 10 anglers compete on Championship Friday, May 31. The boater and co-angler that catch the heaviest three-day total weight will be crowned the 41st Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American Champions.
