The Prieferts show the former vice presidential candidate what it takes to manage 1,700 acres of land, cattle and a manufacturing plant. The Priefert Family – self-made, all-American ranchers – built a business from the ground up, becoming the leading manufacturer of goods in the cattle ranching and rodeo industries. Palin visits with the family members who started it all to learn how the Priefert Family Ranch came to be. And, she’s not afraid to get a little dirty. Palin actively participates in a hunt for wild hogs and gets behind the machines that build cattle handling gear. With a little help from the resident cowboys, Palin channels the spirit of the “Wild West” while learning the ropes of 21st Century ranching with her cowherding and riding skills.
